Anyone successful doing affiliate program

I have seen many people saying that they are making a huge amount of money and due to this I also decided to get in this affiliate industry. Has anyone had success with affiliate programs. Please share with us how you achieved your success.

I've made some great money using affiliate programs.
At times 2-3 thousand a week just off of affiliate programs was not unheard of for me.

This on top of the fact that affiliate income is not my primary source of income!
