Why Google has removed the PR of my sitemap page?

[FONT="Georgia"]This is extremely ridiculous of Google rather irritation from the point of view of website owners. I do not know why Google is giving less importance to sitemap page as compared to other page. My website has a page rank of 6 and the PR of sitemap section was 4 but it is now nil. That sounds like the answer, your traffic may have gone down, but Im not too sure about this.

but in my point of view traffic doesn't have any relations to site's PR though....maybe because of lack of sitemap updates....

But sitemap has nothing to do with traffic. It is created for submission purpose and nothing else.
