Default Do you need lots of traffic quickly?

If you are selling a service or a product, getting lots of traffic is next to worthless if the traffic isn't going to convert. Throwing up a game that has nothing to do with what your site is about and hoping to cash in on a quick surge in traffic is just going to make your stats look pretty. There is no quick and easy way to go about building a business. Concentrate on good content, your product and market your site with methods that will bring traffic that will actually convert.

I think that quality traffic are really needed and same as the site's product and content, if the site content is worthless conversion is very little.....

Targetting relevant keywords is the only way of getting targeted traffic and this will definitely increase conversion. Obviously, you have convince them otherwise, you will not gain anything from it.

I agree with acwebguru , the best way to get the traffic is target the relevant keyword related to the website and try to get the keywords which have higher search volume.

Recently i met with a client who wants just lot of traffic but his goal was to get a sales out it. I know i had a very hard time convincing him why this lot of traffic will not be be of any help for him and at last we decided to do SEO and selected some of the targeted keyword.

So the moral of the story, lot of traffic is really not helpful if you cannot get conversion out of it. Just focus on conversion even if you get some less traffic.

On this some note....today i convinced one of my client who wants some rush of traffic to his site....and his site is basically an ecommerce type site selling branded clothes. I told him that instead of getting traffic from other sources, we should try to concentrate on SEO and get your site ranked top for some keywords in search engine to get some quality targeted traffic.
