Default Adsense Account Disabled - Google Finally Got Me!

Today, I received the dreaded "account disabled" message from Google. This I have been expecting since I have received several warning messages previously. Unfortunately, I was unable to fix my account in time as I have hundreds of websites. The website that triggered this off today was an 8-page website made up of contents from a topic in Wikipedia. The only ad I had on it was a 728*90 box at the top.

The only reason I can think of is that it was deemed "made for advertisement" or in other words low quality i.e. "does not provide a good user experience"

Fortunately, adsense accounts only from a small percentage of my revenue now but still, I would like to have my account back. I am going to appeal and tell that I will only put adsense on few of my high quality sites only. But just to help others to avoid the situation, I just want to list out the sites for which I have received warnings

    1. Very common turnkey sites bought from eBay
    2. Restricted PLR websites
    3. Affiliate website promoting a physical products store using content supplied by the store.
    4. Custom made sites using Wikipedia articles (as above)

In the past, I have also received warnings for obscene language and content that were put up by members of my forum.

The common factor about these factors was that they all used virtually 100% duplicate content. Therefore, I would urge everybody to be very careful to keep the level of duplicate content down. But frankly, the term "does not provide a good user experience" can be applied to websites with unique content as well, and so you must keep an open mind on it.

In the meantime, I am going to draft my appeal letter carefully. I have successfully appealed against this before but then, I earned much more through adsense and also spent quite a bit of money on adwords as well.

If you head across to the pit I'm sure you'll be able to buy a new AdSense account!
    Either that or try AdBrite.

The pit = Digital Point Forums; a once popular webmaster community where people earnt a few extra quid; now home to scammers and con-artists.

I made an appeal where I apologized and offered to use 3 of my high quality sites only. However, they turned it down and I suppose I will have to move on. Even if had been allowed back in, those 3 sites would only have earned about $100 a month. I am in the process of trying out some CPA and CPM ads.

I had more than 1000 sites that may have contravened adsense rules. If I had spent time cleaning all of them up, my whole business would have collapsed. Adsense only accounted for a few % of my total revenue before I was banned.

They have to protect the interests of both the advertiser and publisher. If there is no ban threat there would be millions more of crap sites.

I didn't even know Adsense sent you warnings! Where do they send these? Most people I hear about just get banned without warning
